Recently, Kaspersky Lab researchers have discovered a number of vulnerabilities in smart cameras, commonly used in homes or offices
Kaspersky Lab experts said that the smart camera vulnerable to remote attacks. The main reason comes from the cloud system used to store data, is not safe and easily interfered.
Hackers can attack any camera connected to the cloud service, thus accessing data such as video or audio. At the same time, hackers use cameras as input to the next attack, on other devices.
More noticeable, users may be stealing personal information such as social network accounts when accidentally seen by the camera.
Currently, hackers can only attack when they know the serial number of the camera. However, the camera’s serial numbers are easy to find through simple brute-force attacks.

According to experts, users can protect themselves by frequently changing passwords with complex, high-security keywords for the camera. You should also look for reputable, high quality security camera brands and check the security of your device before making a decision.
